Introduced in the brand Previous page, our roots trace back to 1983 when Beth McTavish was in India and was captivated by the practice of yogis by the Ganges River. After returning home, she started practicing Iyengar yoga and six years later, Halfmoon was born when she sourced the first materials to make her own yoga props.

Crafted just outside Vancouver, BC, the Halfmoon collection has been thoughtfully designed for a variety of practices and our intention remains the same as it was over 30 years ago: to create beautifully designed yoga and meditation goods that support people in living their best and balanced lives.

The essential studio mat (4mm thick) is a standard mat with moderate cushioning and is a core staple for any yoga practice, while the deluxe studio mat (6mm thick) offers generous cushioning for daily asana and is suitable for all levels of yoga and conditioning.

Our classic 100% cotton yoga blanket, hand-loomed in India, provides gentle cushioning, support, and warmth and is extremely versatile for a variety of yoga poses. The 6' or 8' essential studio yoga strap is ideal for every yogi, beginner, and beyond, to find new depths and access improved alignment.
